REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (2008 Sequoia) .

2. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

HINT:

Refer to the procedures up to "Remove Roof Headlining Assembly" INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia) .

3. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.

NOTICE:

When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Remove the 14 bolts.



(c) Disengage the 11 claws and the 2 clamps and remove the curtain shield airbag.
